Next steps....

I's been too long. I keep trying to figure out how I want to blog.

I believe I've figured it out - for now.

This will be my post for:
a. All things creative: current projects, ideas, cool links, completed projects

b. General updates on all things

c. Anything else I come up with

I will do my *best* to post something new everyday.

For my current project(s), I've been feeling really Halloween-y. This past weekend involved many festive mini-projects.

Here's a little taste....

It's a very simple table runner. We rearranged the living room, so now the console table is more visible, which makes it a wonderful place to display seasonal creations. Once I pulled out my small amount of Halloween decor, I was bummed about the way it looked. While I'm trying to figure out what to do, I put this together just to spruce it up a little. It's a simple 42" by 12" rectangle that I scalloped, zig-zag stitched and then used pinking shears to prevent it from fraying. For the scallop, I used a quilting stencil I had. The material is from JoAnn's. I love it because it is so bold and simple. It took about 30 minutes to put together and most of that time was from making sure I went around the scallops carefully, since I have a tendency to rush. There is no lining or backing. I think for future ones, I will either put a felt or similar material on the back and perhaps make it longer....what do you think?

Tomorrow...another quick spooky project....
